Lauren A. Woods joined Richardson Plowden in the Columbia office as an associate attorney in 2025. She focuses her practice in General Litigation. Prior to becoming a practicing attorney, Ms. Woods was a law clerk for the Firm for two years.
Ms. Woods earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2025. During law school, she was the recipient of The Honorable Matthew J. Perry, Jr. Scholarship. She also received CALI Awards in Trial Advocacy and American Legal History. Ms. Woods earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, cum laude, from Clemson University’s Honors College in 2022, where she was actively involved in IPTAY and student government.
While earning her law degree, Ms. Woods served as the Associate Editor-in-Chief for the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal. She was also a Peer Mentor for the Student Bar Association, volunteer for the VITA program, and member of Women in Law. She is currently a member of the South Carolina Bar.
