Christopher R. McKeown joined Richardson Plowden in the Columbia office as an associate attorney in 2021. Mr. McKeown focuses his practice in Medical Malpractice Defense.

Mr. McKeown earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) School of Law in May 2018. During law school, Mr. McKeown was the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business and Enterprise Management from Wake Forest University in May 2012. 

Prior to joining Richardson Plowden, Mr. McKeown worked as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Blake A. Hewitt and the Honorable Paula H. Thomas. He also worked as a staff attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Mr. McKeown is no stranger to Richardson Plowden. He served as one of the Firm’s summer law clerks in 2017. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the North Carolina Bar.
